Day One: Abduction From The Underworld

            Among the darkness of the night, nothing seems happens at all.

Without notice, there is a woman stepping closer and closer to the window. Before long, she falls down from the second floor of her house.

After a while, a shadow approaches her body, taking all her clothes off…

Did she commit suicide? That becomes impossible at that moment, because she has already stopped breathing.

Day Two: The Inexistent Individual

            The photoflash lamp keeps flashing – the police immediately come in the next morning. Neighbors are all around, looking at her raped and naked body.

            “Sir, this woman was murdered approximately at last night, between eleven to twelve o’clock. In addition, based on the report of assay, there are no other physical scars on her body that are able to cause fatal threats to her life…” a police officer is reporting their analyst.

            Suicide? It tends to be, because there is no other possible ways to explain this.

            “In her coat that has been thrown aside, the only thing that we find in the pockets is an appointment card with dentist. The time is… tomorrow.” he continues.

            The police officer chief is abruptly surprised, because he noticed that she possibly got murdered by someone instead of committing suicide. Who will make a dentist appointment if she knows that she will commit suicide? Indeed, it sounds logical; however, in the video tapes of monitor – which is located in front of her apartment, no one shows up from eleven to twelve.

            Who is this individual that does not exist in the reasonable time interval?

Day Three – Behind The Fact

            “Sir, this man says that he has some information that is probably important to figure out this murder case”. The police officer just takes a man to the chief.

            “My name is Rellik, which is one of the friends of the woman’s who was found out murdered yesterday. Even thought I did not know what happened to her exactly, when I took her back home yesterday, approximately at 8:00 at night, she appeared abnormal compared to other time. Before that, we were in a party with bunch of friends. She was too drunk, so we decided to take her back home rather than leaving her there. However, on the way back, she soliloquized about that she was extremely regretful to the medical accident that she made, and something like ‘I never know that taking someone’s life away is that simple’ ”

            “Wait, did she ever make a medical accident brefore?” the police chief interrupts.

“Yes, sir. Her current occupation is a doctor of surgery. Approximately one month ago, she made a mistake in the surgery of a man who was taken to the hospital. Although this man died during the surgery, she was not charged with any crime. The judge who dealt with that case said that man was already life-threatened when he was taken to the hospital, so she didn’t cause him passed away… Oh, in addition, that man was already a friend of her…” the police officer stands there, and keeps flipping the initial analyst papers that they just got.

“Did you still remember what time you take her back? Had you seen anyone?”

“No, just us. I saw she was extremely drunk, so I put her on the bed and stayed there for a while before I left,” Mr. Rellik tells, “The time was about nine o’clock when I left there… I’m pretty sure.”

Day Four: An Unwelcomed Visitor

            “May we talk for a moment? I have something that you might get interested in.”

            “Who are you?”

“It doesn’t matter who I am. The only thing that I want you to know is that: I find out how you murdered her…”

“What are you talking about? I don’t understand it. Her? What her?”

“I think we should talk in your room, because we are in the ‘position~’ we should not be… Now, do you welcome me?”

“Anyone follows you when you come here? … Come in.”

Day Five – The Vanished Relationships

            The smoke is still coming out from the fire…

            An accidental detonation of a car just happens this morning in the backyard of the woman’s house, who was murdered several days ago. After people calling the police, they immediately get here.

“Sir. Base on our initial analyst, the man who was murdered in this case was a friend of the woman who was killed couple days ago. In addition, the primary cause of this case is accidental spillage of gasoline. Currently, we still don’t know whether this is factitious yet. However, this girl, who is a student on the way to school, says that she had seen the whole thing.” a police officer is reading the report in hands.

“May you tell me what happened please?”

“When I passed here, it was approximately seven o’clock in the early morning. Although it was still dark at that time, and I was walking on another side of the street, I believed I saw the whole thing,” the girl tries to prove she saw the entire thing, “There was a man came out from the house, and opened the front door of his car and then entered in. Before long, the car suddenly exploded and I was certain about no one was around when this happened.”

“Was anyone else around you when you passed by?” the chief wants to confirm.

“No, I think I was the only one there at that time, at least I didn’t see it.” the girl looks very honest when she says this.

“Is there anyone else who saw the whole thing?” the chief asks the police officer.

“No, sir. She was the only person who saw the whole thing at this point.” he responses. At the same time, he walks toward the girl, “We have to put down everything you said in writing. May you go with us?”

“My pleasure…”

The girl steps into the police wagon with a police officer. The wagon is driving farther and farther away, until entirely disappear from my vision.

What is the relationship between the man who is just killed today and the woman from couple days ago? On the other side, where does this girl come from? How does she related to this case, or the case happened several days ago? Is she probably the murderer because there is no one else beside her and the man died in the car?

Day Six – Camouflage, Trap…

            This is already the fifth day since the case when that woman got murdered. The police seem have no clue concerning whether there is a murderer or who that person is. As usual, the police are all in her house to find out any traces that might help them figure out what happened. All of her friends come over, standing in front of the door.

            Before long, a sound of footstep is coming closer and closer from the upstairs…

            “Sir, we just find out that some of the furnishings seem have been moved by someone lately, because of the nicks on the floor. They are quite brand-new.” one of the police officers goes downstairs, and report what they suspend.

            After they take a look at those nicks on the floor, they all think those are not very related to the result of this murdering case. Until the end, they do not get anything that can help them find out the result. Therefore, they decided to continue tomorrow.

            The police officer who leaves at last turns off the light…

Break: The Shadow In The Darkness

            The door of her house is opening a bit…

            The shadow is moving – quietly walking through the hallway, going upstairs and finally opening her bedroom.

            He takes out the knife in his pocket, and start destroying the nicks on the floor.

            Among the darkness, it’s impossible to see his face, until someone finally turns the light on…

Day Seven: “?” + “!”

            “Mr. Rellik, may you tell me why you are here? And… please show me what you are hiding behind your back now?” A group of police officers are all standing in front of the door, gazing at the same person, because they know this man is the murderer in the case which the woman got murdered, which is the person they keep looking for.

            “I… am here… because… because…”

            “We have already found those nicks on the floor yesterday, not today. However, because the murderer who killed her stands a good chance to come here. Therefore, I command them to tell me again that they found some nicks in her bedroom, while all of her friends and people who know her are here,” the chief gazes at him, “As expected, you come here tonight, and try to destroy all of those nicks. Am I right?”

            “……Yes, she was indeed murdered by me, because there is no use to leave her in this world. The medical accident was not by accident. She had known the man who died in that surgery far earlier than the time when she did the surgery for him. They had fallen in love for approximately four years. However, this woman suddenly changed her mind, she started to move her attention to a wealthy man. She was afraid of the fact will influence her to marry with that wealthy man, so she pretended to make a mistake in that surgery. Even though that man was already life-threatened when he was taken to the hospital, if she did not think about that at that time, he might be alive.” he looks extremely calm.

            “How do you know that?” the chief continues asking.

            “She told me that while she was drunk when I took her back. She said people were all stupid, because she successfully lied to everyone, but none of them noticed the fact. She had no regret at all…”

            “So you killed her immediately?” the chief walks one step closer to Mr. Rellik.

“Yes. I changed the positions of the pillow. Instead of leaving it next to the balcony, I moved it next to the window, also I put her cell phone next to her bed. When I left from her house, I called her after a while. I said the service was not very good, because I could not hear her clearly. She surely move to the balcony; however, she might not notice that I had changed the position of the bed, so when she approaching to the balcony, she was actually going toward to the window. When she sit on the window, plus she was drunk at that time, she was probably going to fall down from there…” he said indifferently.

“How about the man who got killed in the car?”

“He was also killed by me. I did not know why he would go to her bedroom, he seemed see these nicks. Afterwards, he came to talk to me. He said he knew how I killed her, and the only way to let him kept this secret was to give him a huge amount of money. I orally consent to what he said. He didn’t notice that he has the same model of car with what I wass currently using right now. I just exchanged our plates, and I leaked out all of the gasoline of my car. Afterwards, I told him that I had put the money in an envelope, and had placed under the seat of the driver in my car. Because there was no gas in the car, so he could not even launch the car to turn the light. However, it was very dark at that time, so he will possibly use the lighter, which he carried everyday, to find the money under the seat. So…”

He had not finished what he said. The handcuffs had already been on his wrist.
